RESTART – REVIVING GREEN, RESTORING BREATH

Project RESTART represents a beginning, a conscious decision to heal the planet one tree at a time. It bridges industrial progress with ecological preservation, showing that responsibility and growth can coexist beautifully.

Title: Planting Hope, Breathing Tomorrow

“Every breath we take is borrowed from the trees it’s time to give back.”

Overview

Project RESTART is a transformative green initiative by Cahoots International Foundation dedicated to replanting high oxygen-producing trees and plants with the active participation of wood-consuming industries and community stakeholders.

In an age where industrial growth often comes at the cost of environmental degradation, RESTART symbolises a conscious return to a commitment to balance what we take from nature by giving back in abundance.

The initiative encourages industries, institutions, and individuals to take collective responsibility by planting and nurturing species such as neem, peepal, banyan, bamboo, and areca palm trees known for their exceptional oxygen output and environmental value.

RESTART is more than a plantation campaign; it is a movement for ecological accountability, aiming to rebuild natural systems, restore green cover, and inspire a sustainable culture of coexistence between economy and ecology.

Vision

To create a greener, cleaner, and more compassionate planet where industries, communities, and ecosystems thrive together in harmony. RESTART envisions a world where growth is regenerative — where every act of production is matched by an act of restoration, and where every leaf planted becomes a silent promise to the future.

“When we restart with nature, we don’t just grow trees we grow tomorrow.”

Objectives

  • Restore Ecological Balance — Replant native, oxygen-rich species to revive biodiversity and strengthen natural resilience.
  • Engage Industries in Green Responsibility — Partner with wood-based and manufacturing sectors to offset their environmental impact through sustained reforestation efforts.
  • Reduce Carbon Footprint — Promote large-scale plantation and carbon absorption programs aligned with CSR and ESG goals.
  • Inspire Collective Participation — Mobilise volunteers, students, and communities to take active roles in planting and protecting green zones.
  • Ensure Long-Term Care — Establish monitoring frameworks and post-plantation care systems to ensure the survival and growth of saplings.

Expected Impact

  • Over 10,000 trees were planted in the first phase across industrial and urban spaces.
  • Measurable improvement in local air quality and biodiversity recovery.
  • Corporate partnerships are adopting sustainable reforestation as part of their annual CSR mandates.
  • Creation of microforests and green corridors, restoring the city’s ecological rhythm.
  • Community stewardship is developed through shared ownership and long-term care.

Long-Term Sustainability

RESTART is designed as a continuous green ecosystem, not a one-time campaign. Its sustainability model includes:

  • Tree Adoption Programs – enabling industries and individuals to adopt and maintain planted trees.
  • Annual Plantation Cycles – aligning with monsoon seasons for optimal growth and survival.
  • Collaborations with forestry departments for expert guidance and technical monitoring.
  • “Green Guardian” youth clubs are trained to ensure care, watering, and documentation.

By embedding green habits into corporate and community culture, RESTART ensures that every sapling planted continues to thrive, turning short-term efforts into long-term impact.

Core Components

  1. Green Responsibility Partnerships
A collaboration model that engages industries to plant oxygen-rich trees proportional to their wood usage and energy consumption, building a culture of corporate environmental ethics.
  2. Tree Adoption Program
Each planted tree is documented, tagged, and cared for under an adoption model supported by individuals, students, and CSR partners.
  3. Community Plantation Drives
Local communities and educational institutions join hands in large-scale plantation drives, fostering a shared sense of environmental duty.
  4. Sustainability and Eco-Audits
RESTART integrates environmental audits to track plantation survival rates, carbon offset metrics, and ecological benefits, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  5. Environmental Awareness and Education
Through green workshops, school campaigns, and public events, RESTART inspires behavioural change, encouraging eco-conscious habits and a deeper respect for nature.

Expected Legacy

Project RESTART represents a beginning, a conscious decision to heal the planet one tree at a time. It bridges industrial progress with ecological preservation, showing that responsibility and growth can coexist beautifully.

Each sapling planted becomes a symbol of renewal, each partnership a pledge to sustain, and each act of care a step toward balance.

“Let us plant not just for shade or shelter, but for the generations that will breathe because of our choices today.”

Plant with purpose. Grow with RESTART.
